Volume Three | 2022

Volume Three was developed during a 2021 wānanga held with writers, Dr Rachael Buchanan, Ane Tonga and Israel Randell with support from our designer Chloe Reweti, editorial board member Dr Sean Mallon and previous ATE writer Dr Nina Tonga.

Articles in Volume Three reflect the breadth and beauty of ngā toi Māori including the Motunui Epa, Kauae Raro, HOEA! Gallery and Project Space, Wairau Māori Art Gallery, ĀKINA Contemporary Art Gallery and Mataaho Collective. We are also pleased to include a republished text from Dr Peter Brunt and two republished poems from Rūānuku Emeritus Professor Ngāhuia te Awekōtuku and essa may ranapiri.
